If I spent this day looking back, I would not see what is before me. Hindsight they say is 20/20, you can see perfectly. I don’t think that is true. I think we choose to see the past through filters.
I wear glasses and I can get up in the morning see well enough to make it to the bathroom without hitting a wall. I can find the tea kettle and find a couple of tea bags, put the tea tray together and manage well without my glasses. But then I generally spend a little time looking for my glasses.
I am habitual, and take them off when I go to bed, so for the most point, they are on the beside table, or on the floor next to the bedside table, or Pat removed them as I fell asleep and have them on his bedside table. Point is, my vision is limited without corrective lens.
Which I would offer that our 20/20 hindsight is also though lens. And I would offer that most of the stuff we are presented with, via the internet or TV is presented with a particular view that may or may not be so accurate. So we have to be more discerning, more critical of what we see, we have to search for the lens that will help us see the truth of the world around us.
Happy New Year, Happy New Decade to us all! Happy 2020!
what do you think?
